A magnificent bouquet of sweet, oaky, jammy, peppery, berry fruit and licorice is quite enticing. In the mouth the wine is very full-bodied, even more concentrated than the outstanding 1983, has layers and layers of fruit, good ripe tannins, and exemplary length.
