Rich in texture and beautifully balanced, showing lemon, honey, floral and peach notes. There's just a hint of toast and brine. This is lively and reveals candied citrus on the lingering aftertaste. Excellent length.
This wine was recommended, but no tasting note was given.
Very green. Real autolysis character – very Dom P, very flattering! Surprisingly sweet on the palate though which jars a bit. Or is this just the richness of the vintage? Certainly this is the easiest wine to drink so far in the tasting… Very persistent mousse. Lots of interesting components all in balance. Quite long. (JR)
A classic vintage in the sense that many of the base wines were relatively lean and green (as opposed to being an "extraordinary" vintage.) Drinking nicely from release, this DP is holding surprisingly well in the bottle, with glorious creamy, toasty fruit and a long, complex finish - certainly a few years left in the tank.
Without a shadow of a doubt a great youthful Dom: light greenish-yellow, still fairly intense mousse. Initially delicate vegetal notes emerge, smoky, soft nutty undertones, peanuts, still very fresh, the bouquet shows opulent stone fruit, good minerality. Youthful on the palate, exhibits a lot of fruit nuances, this will be a real gem in ten years, definite improver, worth cellaring.
