Good bright, dark red. Reticent aromas of black cherry, violet and licorice show modest ripeness. Supple and savory in the mouth; broader than the Cote de Nuits-Villages but I don't find the energy of the vintage's better examples. Finishes with reasonably ripe tannins and an animal nuance
This is perhaps the wine least marked by wood to this point with its fresh aromas of red and dark pinot fruit, earth and humus nuances. There is fine volume and ripeness to the solidly well-concentrated and delineated middle weight flavors that possess a moderately firm tannic spine on the balanced and lingering finish.
