One of the “wines of the vintage,” the 2001 Criots-Batard-Montrachet explodes from the glass with powerful aromas of minerals and smoke. A magnificent elixir, it paints a broad swath across the palate, revealing stunning quantities of liquid minerals and syrupy stones. Massively concentrated, deep, and complete, it has a finish that simply refuses to relinquish its hold on the taster’s palate. Wow!
