We introduce you an awesome 10-year-old malt. This whisky has first matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks before undergoing additional maturation in hogsheads made from French oak (Quercus Robur), from the Haute-Garonne region in France. The wood for these barrels is air dried for 15 months before the whisky is finished in it for about 18 months.
The finish has silky tannins, sweet spice and fruit notes added to this delightful, earthy single malt.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Golden Bronze
Nose: Waves of orange, heather honey and spiciness, followed by caramel, apple, pear and mocha.
Palate: Layers of heather honey, mocha and toffee brittle, with grapefruit, cinnamon and firm earthy notes.
Finish: Long, with the dark earthy notes turning into ginger.
