This 22 year old single malt was distilled just before the turn of the millennium. The water of life has matured in American oak barrels before being finished in the finest Haut-Medoc Claret Barriques, carefully maintained by the coopers Loch Lomond. The whisky is bottled at a nice cask strength of 48.2%.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Oak spice, cloves and star anise, currant, raspberry and honey.
Taste: Apple, pear and cherry with vanilla and dark chocolate.
Finish: Warming ginger and wood smoke.
