Nose: A rich and rousing symphony of liquid rum raisins, figs, and dried fruits, all drenched in toffee sweetness. Dried walnuts make an appearance alongside fleeting green notes of fresh kindling wood, twigs, and a subtle salted caramel undercurrent. Lively and vibrant, its youthfulness peeks through but never dominates. No trace of Newmake sheet music here—it's well-crafted and full of character.
Palate: A striking entry, delivering a lighter body than anticipated, though its youthful charm remains intact. Big, bold rum and raisin notes lead the charge, followed closely by chocolate, figs, and a delicate pinch of salt. Oak influence is minimal, but the toffee, caramel, and acacia honey more than make up for it, painting a deliciously sweet picture.
Finish: A fleeting farewell that stays true to its sherry roots—sweet, fruity, and tinged with gentle tannins and spices. Though it doesn't linger long, the impression it leaves is undeniably pleasant.
An exuberant sherry bomb that dances between youthful vibrance and well-balanced sweetness. Not usually my cup of tea, but this one is a guilty pleasure.
