The 2022 Fixin Village, which sees no new oak, has a lovely bouquet of red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic tannins, but there is nice crunchy red fruit here. It is a little austere on the finish, yet there is pleasing salinity. Drink over the next four to six years.
Cool and airy aromas include those of herbal tea, red currant and a hint of the sauvage. The sleek, vibrant and delicious middleweight flavors exude evident minerality on the detailed, youthfully austere and firm finale. This compact and serious effort will require at least some cellaring as it's tightly wound.
Pretty pink to purple. The nose offers a mix of raspberry and strawberry, medium bodied on the palate, lower acidity than the Marsannay but with some slightly astringent tannins which nonetheless will integrate with just a little more time.
