Offering up notions of smoky berry fruit, cassis, grilled meats, spices and loamy soil, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village is medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with a generous core of ripe fruit, youthfully chewy tannins and a long, heady finish.

Burghound (91)

Touches of herbal tea and the sauvage add breadth to the earthier and slightly cooler aromas of mostly dark berries. There is very good underlying tension to the lightly stony flavors that culminate in a compact, rustic and mildly warm finale. This is quite powerful for a Nuits villages and a wine that will need at least 4 to 5 years before it can be approached with pleasure.
