Aromas of pear, beeswax, toasted nuts, white flowers and youthful reduction introduce the 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Maltroie, a medium to full-bodied, lively and tightly wound young wine built around bright acids and chalky extract.

Picked 27th August at 13.8% alcohol. A cool mid purple again with a fresh albeit ripe raspberry nose, nothing cooked here. A little more intensity than the village wine with some grip behind, good tension to this, precision and intensity. Brava! Tasted: October 2021
