Jancis Robinson (16.50)

Linear, more angular, sharper. Green stemminess as well as red-fruit and spice aroma. Tense with a hard almost metallic earthiness, reduction. (SCJ)

Robert Parker (96)

The 2019 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard comes from more than 30-year-old, own-rooted vines on an east-facing slope in the Dundee Hills, part of the original Domaine Drouhin property, planted to Pommard, Wadenswil and Dijon clone vines. Medium ruby, it's nuanced and layered on the nose, with tar, cured meats and pepper and a core of wild blackberries. The palate is elegant and seamless, opening from savory to floral tones and finishing with an uplifted, ethereal quality.

Decanter (94)

The gently floral, spice and cherry fruit pour from the glass of this superbly elegant Pinot. The texture is lush and full with no lack of body, but no hard edges. This Dundee Hills site was planted more than 30 years ago, much of it own-rooted, and the effect is slightly exotic and a bit wild in a way that brings immense character. The grapes were completely destemmed and gently fermented for two weeks prior to ageing in cask.

Vinous (94)

Limpid ruby. Black raspberry, cherry cola and floral aromas are complemented by an exotic spice nuance and hints of succulent herbs and smoky minerals. Well-concentrated yet nervy, offering penetrating red and blue fruit, candied rose and allspice flavors supported by an undercurrent of juicy acidity. Finishes impressively long and seamless, displaying lingering red berry preserve and spice notes and discreet tannins.
