Made with 44% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot, the 2013 Guardiavigna is a darkly saturated and powerful wine. It delivers brawn and grit with a thick and concentrated quality of fruit. The tannins are well managed and appear neatly folded within the textural richness and layering of the wine. The mouthfeel is direct and effective, not heavy or cloying.
