Vinous (94)

: Dark inky-ruby; so dark in fact, it is virtually impenetrable. Starts off with blackcurrant and plum plus hints of cedar on the enticing nose. Then very fresh and vibrant in the mouth, with a noteworthy tannic spine but neither drying nor over the top. Finishes long and suave, with real depth and a multifaceted quality. Ages in two thirds new barriques.
