Kavalan
Over the past 10 years, Taiwanese Kavalan has become a significant name in the world of whiskies. Established in 2005, the distillery, which welcomes 1.2 million visitors annually, is one of the most visited distilleries worldwide. It is named after the area around Yilan, known in ancient times as Kavalan, inhabited by the Kavalan clan. Thanks to the clear creamy water from the surrounding mountains' springs, Kavalan has managed to produce exceptionally smooth, gentle, and creamy whiskies.

Kavalan 8YO Single Cask Peated Malt is crafted from barley dried over a peat fire, resulting in a phenol content of 10 PPM. This version evokes both the soft and smoky personality of Scottish Islay single malts and can be considered impressively mature. The aromatic palate of this whisky shines with its fresh fruitiness.

Official tasting notes:
- Nose: Fine and distinctive. Oily and earthy peat, orange, and lemon.
- Palate: Full and soft. Smoked bacon, fresh figs, toffee, and mango.
- Finish: Long and dense. Ash tones, chocolatey, and bitter quinine bark.
