“The Casks of Lindores” is a small series of 3 releases aged in barrels of different origin. Where the first whisky came from a combination of bourbon barrels, sherry barrels and STR barrels, this first “Casks of Lindores” comes exclusively from former bourbon barrels. Two more “Casks of Lindores” small batch bottlings from former sherry casks, and from STR (Shaved, Toasted, Re-charred) casks will follow consecutively in the near future.
Nose: “Earthy” notes with fresh hay and silage, gingerbread spices and a pinch of tobacco leaves. White herbs tickle the nose, after which white and yellow fruit take over.
Taste: Werther's original candy mixed with cream caramel and lychees, then warming oak comes at play and white spices. The fruit and spices continue to run through this character like a red thread.
Finish: Wonderfully smooth and pampering with lasting warm herbs. Stunningly rounded and delicious to drink.
