The 2005 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge displays the sexiest, most exotic side of Pinot Noir with its dense, dark raspberry, floral and forest floor notes intermixed with spice and fresh mushrooms. Its sweet, broad fruit, deep ruby/plum color, terrific body, and lush, heady mouthfeel make for a remarkable wine. As it sits in the glass, smoky blueberries and wet stones, even a gun flint-like aroma, seem to emerge. Drink this over the next 12-15 years.
