Words of Whisky (84)

Certainly one of the lesser Littlemill bottlings I've tasted so far. Not as balanced as I'd like.
Nose
Very fresh with soft fruits. Apples and pears. There's lemon here too and some ozone as well. A hint of wet cardboard. All very subtle, maybe even a bit too much so.
Taste
Lots and lots of pink grapefruit with a pinch of white pepper. The apples and pears make an encore. A tad oak-y.
Finish
Oak, grapefruit. Fairly long.

Nose:
The first encounter is an olfactory journey marked by very fresh and soft fruits. Apples and pears dance on the nose, accompanied by the zesty embrace of lemon and a subtle ozone note. A hint of wet cardboard adds a touch of intrigue. The nose of the Littlemill 18 Years Old is a delicate composition, perhaps even a touch too subtle for some, but an invitation to uncover hidden nuances.

Taste:
On the palate, the Littlemill 18 Years Old continues its performance with an abundance of pink grapefruit, accented by a pinch of white pepper. The encore of apples and pears contributes to the fruit-forward character, while a tad of oakiness adds depth. The taste is a journey through the orchards, with each sip revealing layers of complexity.

Finish:
The grand finale is a lingering finish that echoes the presence of oak and grapefruit. The finish is fairly long, providing a lasting impression of the subtle interplay between wood influence and fruity vibrancy. Oak and grapefruit dance together in harmony, inviting contemplation.
