Two red wines made in Tuscany using a variety of grapes. Both rated 90 points or over by Robert Parker.
Bertinga Sassi Chiusi founded by Luca Vitiello. After working for Fanti for years he started his own adventure in 2015 by creating Bertinga. Located in the heart of Chianti in the town of Gaiole. Their focus lies on creating single vineyard wines to reflect each unique terrior. The Sassi Chiusi is a blend between the Sangiovese and Merlot grape.
Le Macchiole founded in 1980 by Eugenio Campolmi and his wife Cinzia Merli. From the 1990’s they discovered that Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot thrive in the Bolgheri. They have been replanting the area with these grape varieties from the 1980’s. Using these varieties to produce some beautiful cépage wines. The Bolgheri Rosso is a blend of all the varieties they produce. Creating something quite special with this Bolgheri Rosso.
