This wine has completely shut down after being in bottle for several years. It still has an impressively saturated ruby/purple color and a nose of sweet berry fruit intermixed with licorice, tapenade, mineral, and herbs. The wine is deep, medium-bodied, with excellent purity and some relatively elevated and rustic tannin in the finish which may not become fully integrated. In any event, this wine needs extended cellaring.

Impressive dark color. Lots of ripe fruit and black licorice character, with a mineral undertone. Full-bodied, tight and silky.
